Sarah M. Place, MBA, has over eighteen years experience in the financial services industry. In addition to gaining valuable knowledge as an International Mutual Fund Accountant for a major global asset management firm in Boston, her experience includes working with individuals and with businesses in a variety of investment planning areas. While she has vast experience working with stocks, bonds, mutual funds and other investment vehicles, her primary areas of focus include fixed income and 401(k)s.

Sarah is a member of the National Association for Business Economics (NABE) and the Finance Roundtable. She is active in The Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, the Leadership Raleigh Alumni Association and the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO). She serves as a member of the North Carolina Council on Economic Education Board of Directors, the Kids Voting North Carolina/Wake County Board of Directors, the Capital City Club’s Trendsetter’s Board as well as being a board member for the Annual Big Bad Ball; a benefit for the Hospice of Wake County. She is a member of the Louisa St. Clair Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR), the North Carolina Roadrunners Club and has been involved in several different charities, committees and local activities. Most recently, she has been honored as one of the Triangle’s top businesswomen and presented with the Triangle Business Journal’s prestigious Women in Business Award for her success and dynamic leadership. She has also been recognized by magazine publisher Business Leader Media as a winner of its first annual Movers & Shakers award, honoring business professionals who have made a significant impact through their respective roles, as well as through community involvement.

She has presented topics including economic issues, investments and retirement planning to numerous groups over the years including the Tufts University Alumni Association and the Cary Jaycees. She is a contributing writer for several publications including the Carolina Newswire, the NC Journal for Women and NC Career Networking magazine.
