Jim Deyo is the President of Business Advisor Online, an internet based service that provides small businesses with the ideas they need to grow and the resources they require to make the right decisions. Prior to founding Business Advisor Online in 2005, Jim retired as a Senior Vice President from Comerica Bank in Detroit Michigan. Comerica is the country's 25th largest banking institution and specializes in providing commercial banking services to businesses of all sizes, primarily in the Michigan, California, and Texas markets.
During his banking career, Jim worked extensively with small and medium sized companies. Small businesses usually do not have the resources they need to do everything efficiently and can benefit from a little outside assistance in dealing with their day-to-day challenges. As both a commercial and consumer lender, Jim specialized in helping smaller companies identify and solve their business problems, allowing them to grow faster, become more profitable, and secure the financing necessary to facilitate their growth.
Jim had some unique and diversified experiences throughout his commercial banking career. While working extensively as a financial professional, after receiving an MBA in finance and accounting from Syracuse University, he also managed marketing, strategic planning, and process improvement activities, both for the bank and its customers. He oversaw and managed the bank's entry into several key new businesses and product opportunities. He was heavily involved in both bank and customer organizational restructurings. And he has managed both professional employees and large groups of support staffs throughout his career.
