Founder and President - SmarTrack
As founder and president of SmarTrack, Janis is passionate about putting her years of experience as a successful entrepreneur, corporate trainer, small business and marketing consultant, coach and speaker to work to give her small business and entrepreneur clients the skills and tools they need to achieve their biggest business and life goals . The belief that we all can be empowered to achieve our goals by thinking and acting in new ways is the motivating factor behind everything she offers.
In the past 19 years, she has owned and grown four highly successful small businesses where she's been responsible for every aspect of business growth.
Janis received her Master of Arts degree from City University of New York in New York City, where she started her first business in 1987. In Westchester, New York she was named one of “50 Women of Achievement Under 50” by the Business Journal, and was featured in the same publication for her creative small business marketing strategies. She is the author of numerous nationally and internationally published articles on small business growth, marketing and e-marketing, and creator of targeted business growth programs Go Global Web Tactics and Maximize Your Profit Centers, co-author of "136 Ways to Market Your Small or Solo Business", has hosted her own business cable talk show in NY, and has made numerous other TV and public speaking appearances, and has worked with literally hundreds of small business owners in the US, Canada, UK and Australia.
Janis served on the Board of the Westchester NY Association of Women Business Owners, is a proud member of the invitation-only Business Leaders Club and currently serves on the Board of Chix in Business. Janis was proud to chair charity events in New York for "Share Our Strength" which raised $30,000 for hunger relief.
Janis feels fortunate to be affiliated with a talented group of partners who have years of experience in leadership, team and performance development, web design, marketing and coaching. This national group of affiliates greatly enhances the information and services she can provide for her clients.
Janis currently lives in Raleigh, North Carolina with her adored daughter Julia, who makes sure she doesn't become hopelessly "un-cool".
